Tammy is AMAZING! The whole experience from picking a wedding cake to eating the cake was simple, organized, fun and very tasty! Planning a wedding can be stressful, but Tammy makes it so easy by bringing the cakes to our house for us to taste. Plus, I love the fact that she owns her own small bakery because you get the attention and support that you definitely would not get from a bigger bakery. When I walked into the ballroom, I was blown away at how beautiful our cake looked. I couldn't wait to cut into it! And when we did, I couldn't have been happier. It was so yummy. Everyone was commenting on how wonderful the cake was and asking me where I got it. In fact, one friend of mine told me he went from table to table finishing other people's cake. Hmmm....do you think he liked it? Thanks Tammy for a wonderful cake and for helping me makes my wedding day special!

I've been working with Tammy on a vendor level now for 3 years. She's wonderful. No job is too big or too small. She's able to accommodate anything. I have never once had a problem with any of her cakes. You often hear horror stories of a wedding cake that fell or fell apart. NEVER, each and every one has been spectacular. On an average she provides 3 cakes a weekend for me here at the Hotel. I wouldn't have any other baker. I always know it will be here on time and in mint condition. She’s fantastic. We Love Her.

Tammy was the only choice for my wedding cake. Aside from being my cousin, Tammy is the most talented, creative artist/baker I know. Tammy had muliple photos for me to browse over and any one of them would do. But, I couldn't choose, I just asked to make one. She made an individualized cake that was the best surprise. I had so many compliments to not just the beauty, but the taste. It was fabulous. My husband and I, against ritual, ate the top " first anniversary" layer the day after the wedding. THE WHOLE THING!! A year and nine months later, Tammy made our son's first birthday party cake. She made one special just for Jett too. Needless to say, I'm glad that Tammy celebrated with us and MADE our CELEBRATION.

Tammy's cakes are wonderful! She is so friendly and accomodating. You can tell she truly enjoys what she does. I tried 6 different flavors and they were all incredible! When I called her to make the cake for my nephew's baptism, I was unsure as to what exactly I wanted. Tammy gave me so many options until I decided and then everyone raved about the wonderful cake I brought! My sister was so happy.

Tammy was great to work with! She made the sheet cakes for my grandma's 90th bday party, which everyone loved! And she made my wedding cake! I left the design up to her in the end. It was awesome! I'm still getting commentsabout how great the cak looked and how yummy it was!She was also so easy to work with. How many vendors will come to YOURhouse?? I'm sure I gave her a rough time with my final headcount too! Shejust kept telling me not to worry, she understood! I was amazed at how she'dlet you use different flavors on different tiers also! In planning the wedding, we've all had to deal with tons of vendor meetings and getting in your car to cross town even when the last thing you feel like doing is leaving your home to meet with one more nameless person that wants to sell you their product. Oftentimes the product or even the vendor is thelast thing you're looking for. And you've made a wasted trip for nothing.

Enter Tammy. Tammy came to my house bringing with her two of the most exquisite cakes I've ever had the pleasure of tasting--all as part of her "wedding package". She was friendly and upbeat and had just gotten married herself a couple months ago. She showed us an album of all the cakes and when I couldn't find EXACTLY what I was looking for, she picked my brain andmade a few drawings until we had it right on the nose exactly what I wanted.

The whole while you could tell she was getting excited just at the prospectof making the cakes--and it's apparent in all of her cakes just how much she enjoys her work. Also, even after we had half decided on what type of cake we wanted, shekept asking, is there anything else you want to try, anything you're even CURIOUS about trying? I'm thinking to myself, is this woman trying to charge me for these "extra" cakes? Oh no. Totally not. She dropped two MORE cakes off at my work one day for my FI and I to try to be SURE we had what we were looking for. Who else in this business would do that???

Well, she had me sold way before that, but her prices are just phenomenal for the product she's giving. She is totally willing--and able--to give each bride individualized attention and to make them feel like their wedding cake is going to be the most magical cake they've ever seen--that this will be the cake they've dreamed about since they knew what a wedding cake was! Tammy herself adds to the package by being such an awesome lady--I've had regular conversations with her via email and they're always a treat. She's got a great sense of humor and is just a breeze to work with. I really can't say enough about her--she is THE BEST vendor I've worked with to date--and now that I've talked about her for so long, I'm craving more of her delicious cake!!

Of all the vendors that I have dealt with so far, she is by far the nicest and most dedicated. Her cakes are awesome, without a doubt the best that we tried. Her customer service takes the cake (no pun intended)! She was the only baker of 5 that we met with that was willing to make anything we wanted. Most restrict you to pictures that they have, or nickle and dime you to death for every little variation. Tammy on the other hand, encouraged us to be creative and look around. She is a wonderful baker and a joy to work with! If the rest of the wedding industry was like Tammy, planning would be significantly less stressful! ~Katherine
Even before we met with Tammy, I knew I wanted to work with her. Her designbook was beautiful and she will bring you anything you want to try. She is so nice and willing to try anything new. She even looked into chocolate fondant for my FI. Her sample cakes were incredible. I can't wait to continue working with her in the upcoming year. I would highly recommend her!!! After selecting a baker that I thought was great, I made an appointment tomeet with Tammy because I'd heard other brides-to-be rave about her. It turns out that her cake, icing, prices, designs, and most of all her personality made her stand out from the other bakers. A lot of wedding cakesthat I tasted seemed dried out, but Tammy's cakes are moist and delicious. Her butter cream frosting and fillings are also awesome and she loves to experiment with new decorating ideas. I still wasn't sure how I wanted our cake to look after my first meeting with Tammy, but I pointed out a few designs from her album that I liked. She emailed me a few months later to send me a photo of my favorite from her book and to let me know that she was keeping her eye out for other ideas that she thought I would like. She is by far the most responsive wedding vendor that I've worked with. Tammy really goes out of her way to make sure your cake is everything that you want and it's obvious that she enjoys her job. She's as interested in making sure that your cake will be perfect as you are!

Simply put, I almost booked Tammy sight unseen! When I started planning my wedding, the cake wasn't too high on my list of priorities - that is, until I heard about Tammy. So many brides raved about her, so I figured I'd give her a call. Well, her enthusiasm over the phone was SO infectious, and after a half hour of cake talk and giggling like I'd known her forever, something happened - suddenly all I cared about was my cake - I just had to have a wedding cake by Tammy! I'm planning my Pittsburgh wedding from out of town, so when she offered to hold my date - guaranteed - until I had a chance to meet with her, I was so relieved! I told her that my theme was dragonfly and butterfly, and within days of my initial phone call (and still a month before I met and actually booked her) she told me she was already experimenting with how to make fondant dragonflies! I almost booked her right then! We had the hardest time deciding which
flavors to sample, so I had suggested several, and she made them all - and not small little portions either, we had enough for 8 people to sample every flavor! Her personality and dedication to her work is beyond what I had ever imagined. She encourages each bride to come up with the cake of her dreams, is willing to experiment with decorations and flavors, and takes the time to really personalize it. She emails me pictures of different cakes at least once a week - and jokes too! She truly makes you feel like the most special bride in the world when you talk to her. This so far has been the most enjoyable aspect of wedding planning for me! ~Jill
It was PERFECT! Tammy and I had been going back and forth about designs forawhile...finally, I told her that she knew enough about what I wanted, I wanted her to surprise me! It was a beautiful, offset, square cake, with graduated dots (so the bottom layer had 4 dots in a cluster), the next layer had 3 dots were cluster, etc...). And the taste??? We got raspberry swirlwith Bavarian crème and people ATE IT UP! People were even asking the wait staff in hushed whispers for seconds! Can't say enough about Tammy Barr... ~Mitzi
I can't thank you all enough for recommending Tammy - I just met with herlast night and I am more excited about my cake than any other part of the wedding! She is going to do my dream cake from Martha Stewart, and we loved her so much that we decided to have her do the "house" looking cake from Bride's magazine. ~Beth She is AWESOME, but everyone here already knows that. Friday she deliveredthe grooms cake to Pasquarelli's. It was almost identical to the picture I have in my bio. Everyone LOVED it. It was chocolate cake and frosting with the raspberry filling. Saturday, again everyone LOVED the cake. We had cake enough to feed 225 people.We had 160 people and almost NO cakeleft over. It was awesome. Exactly like the picture. Tammy was wonderful to work with and her cake was both delicious and gorgeous. After meeting Tammy and tasting her cakes, I had complete confidence that Tammy would do a great job, and she did. I found working with Tammy to be a million times better than trying to deal with any other bakery. Tammy was consistently helpful, thoughtful, patient and kind. The cake was decorated beautifully and tasted fabulous.
We received lots of compliments on the cake from our guests and couldn't have been happier with the way it turned out.

Tammy Barr has by far been my favorite "vendor" to work with in the planning of this wedding. First of all, who doesn't love someone who comes to your house with delicious cake? I practically booked her before meeting her in person! I showed her a picture of a very complicated masquerade themed cake that looks to be falling over & immediately her whole face lit up & she was rattling off all kinda of different ways to do it, and how she was so excited at the oppurtunity to make a cake like that - um, wow. After tasting her incredible cakes we new we had to have a different cake & different filling for each layer because they were all SO good! She told us towards the end of the meeting that she would encourage us to look around, my fiance' & I both practically laughed at her - we already knew she was the one for us. I truly cannot say enough about how great Tammy is & I cannot wait to eat my wedding cake! Even though I never had the opportunity to meet Tammy in person, I think she is wonderful!! I got married at Embassy Suites and all I did was forward a picture of what I wanted my cake to look like. All I can say is that it was breath-taking!! I can't wait to eat it again on my anniversary!

Not only is Tammy one of the sweetest people I've ever met, but she's the best baker EVER!
